Review:
KISS, one of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time, started in 1974 with their self-titled album, KISS. But it wasn't until after "Rock And Roll All Nite" (no, I am not spelling Nite wrong, you English fanatics) that they became a nation-wide --- then world hit.The Very Best Of KISS is definately the best KISS compilation out of the many. What makes it so good? It focuses on songs from all over the KISS time-period. Whether you loved Ace Frehly's guitars in Strutter, or enjoy Peter Criss' vocals in Beth, then this album is an awesome one for both KISS fanatics and KISS-newbies. The one thing wrong with this "best of" album, though, is that it is missing crucial songs in KISStory: God Of Thunder, Creatures Of The Night, and Black Diamond.

Review:
It wasn't until Alive! that KISS' career really took off. They could throw awesome & powerful shows, fill up the stadiums, but they just couldn't sell their albums. Then, they released Alive! and went 4x Platinum.
Alive! is a recording of 3 concerts (how much of the album are the  concerts we do not know, but we do know that was extensive over-dubbing).This album shows how good of preformers KISS is, and how powerful their concerts were.
Do Not Be Fooled by the "Wow! two-disc" slogan. All the songs could-have fit onto one disc, and instead of costing $20 it could've cost 10.
Best Songs:
Duece
Strutter
Watchin' You
Black Diamond (Check out the awesome drum solo!)
Rock And Roll All Nite
Let Me Go, Rock 'N Roll

Review:
KISS' first and self-titled album was released in 1974 with much criticism. Critics gave them a "week to a year before they fade away." This album is full of all the songs that would later become concert favorites and huge rock anthems, and, unlike most of the other KISS albums, almost all of the songs are good, instead of one or two (which has turned me away from buying any of their other albums except for Alive! and the greatest hits comp.).Another reason that this album soars above the rest of the KISS records is that all of the band members sing at least a few songs---whether it be Gene singing Duece, Stanley singing Strutter, or Criss singing Black Diamond (which, by the way, is one of the most powerful and awesome of all of the KISS songs). Kiss should definetly be in your collection, KISS-fan or not.
